The Processing of Aluminum Pipe, Bar and Profile

The usual process for the production of aluminum pipes, rods and profiles: first, the billet is formed by hot extrusion, and then finished by rolling (or stretching), finishing and heat treatment. The finished product can also be directly produced by hot extrusion. It has been developed from a short ingot to a long ingot extrusion. According to the extrusion force of the extruder, a uniform diameter ingot is used, and various profiles and pipes are extruded from the split combination die and the tongue die. The length of the product can reach more than 60 meters, and after being straightened. It is cut into the required length. The largest extruder for aluminum production is 20,000 tons. This extruder can extrude a ribbed tube with a diameter of 800 mm. The architectural profiles are extruded products developed in the 1960s and account for more than 35% of the total extruded products. 80% of building profiles are used as door and window frames. It is almost entirely made of aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloys (LD30 and LD31). The product is anodized and colored, and various oxide films are formed on the surface to have good corrosion resistance. The doors and windows made of aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloy are beautiful and durable, and have good sealing performance.
